Founded in the 1920’s, the St. Cloud Eye Clinic was one of the first ophthalmology practices in the Midwest. In central Minnesota, our doctors were the first to perform modern cataract surgery with intraocular lenses, phacoemulsification, clear cornea, no sutures and no injections. Our leadership in advanced techniques made cataract surgery with eye drop anesthesia and without sutures the standard of care in central Minnesota. We were also the first to perform refractive surgery in central Minnesota starting with radial keratotomy in 1982 and lasik in 1995. Over 33,000 surgical procedures have been performed in the last 15 years alone.
